Gold Filled: Gold filled jewellery features a thick layer of pure gold that is pressure-bonded to a base metal core. It should not be confused with gold plating or vermeil, as gold filled jewellery contains a gold layer 5 to 10 times thicker than standard gold plating. Gold filled pieces are highly valuable, tarnish-resistant, and do not flake, rub off, or change colour.
Gold Vermeil: Vermeil is solid 925 sterling silver that has been micron plated with 18ct gold. Micron plating undergoes an electrolysis process, making it one of the most durable forms of gold plating. To be considered vermeil, the gold layer must be at least 2.5 micrometres thick.
Natural Gemstones & Pearls: Odyssey jewellery is crafted with carefully selected natural gemstones and ethically sourced freshwater pearls. Each gemstone and pearl is unique, adding a distinctive touch to every piece. We never use synthetic stones or pearls.
